"Young crew with very interesting and tasty food. Full of taste, unexpected but very fitting taste associations. Strong recommendation! Vegetarian food is possible. During weekends they advertise 2 settings per evening, but that does not seem to be as strict as advertized. 3 different menus from 45 to over 70 Euro. Relaxed atmosphere. Located in the main pedestrian zone, outside can be noisy. Service is a bit slow, our menu took 4 hours all in all. Strangly there is a sound box at the entry making a lot of noise. Maybe some think this is great but we would have chosen another restaurant had we known beforehand - for us it just kills the atmospehre."

"We dined here one of our nights in Bordeaux and were very happy that we did. We all opted to get the full tasting menu (6 courses) plus wine pairings. Each dish was delicious, well presented, and full of flavor. The wine pairings were perfect for each dish. The service was very attentive and the staff were friendly. There's a window into the kitchen so you can see the chef, the team, and the dishes being made. We really enjoyed our meal here and would recommend it to others!"

"Bo-tannique is a real find in Bordeaux. It's one of those rare places that continues to surprise you throughout the course of your meal. We were greeted by a cheerful waitress who patiently explained the menu. We ordered a tomato salad, chicken and sea bass. All were expertly prepared and very tasty. The highlight of the evening came when the chef (Laurent?)stopped by our table and spent some time with us. For someone so talented, he had a charming modesty and earnestness that made the evening a night to remember. Before we left he insisted we try his basil sorbet which was, of course, unexpectedly good."

"I was part of a food tasting experience here, and we were given 3 dishes, and they did not disappoint. Flavor AND texture. Good portion size. Wine pairing. Excellent service from the staff, as well as a wall window to the kitchen, where they also engaged with the onlookers. Highly recommend!"

"Based on recommendation we visited this French restaurant. Overall we have a decent experience. Appetizers are interesting. Particularly the perfect egg and tuna. The other two appetizers are cold dishes. For the main course, only the sea bream wins our heart. We found the chicken breast slightly overcooked. The pork ribs with BBQ sauce is a bit disappointing. The pork is kind of soft without much other texture. We do not like it at all. Given the price we do not feel the food delivers the value as we expected."
